Part C of the response form looks at the extent to which areas meet the designation criteria, as well as the
proposed boundaries.

You should complete this section if you wish to comment on our proposals in more detail.

When answering the questions in this section, please make reference to the factors that we have taken
into account when assessing natural beauty, opportunities for open-air recreation and desirability to
designate. You should also consider the boundary setting considerations when commenting on the
proposed boundaries. You can find this information in the Consultation section of this website, as follows:

This part of the response form is divided into separate sections: one for each of the four proposed
extensions, and a separate section for The Orton Fells. You are free to comment on one or more of the
proposed areas.

Commenting on the proposed boundaries

If you wish to recommend an alternative boundary for any of the proposed extensions, please download and print a copy of the map you wish you commment on, draw your recommendation onto the map and return it to us by post. It would also be helpful if you could explain the reason for your alternative boundary under question 12.

Alternatively, you can download a copy of the map and draw on your recommended boundary using a suitable graphic programme. If so, please email your map(s) to us at nwdesignationproject@naturalengland.org.uk, enclosing your name and postcode in the email, together with your reasons.
